Billing Clerk – Part-time, flexible hours


Job description Overview: The billing clerk is responsible for managing the Firm's billing process, retainer replenishment process, and A/R collections to ensure that the Firm always has sufficient cash to meet cash requirements.


1. Billing 

                       a. Generating and preparing billing-related reports

b. Preparing, reviewing, and revising prebills

c. Preparing monthly invoices and e-mailing them to clients by the fourth week of each month

2. Manage billing questions and concerns from clients

3. Manage retainer accounts

4. E-mail monthly retainer account updates

5. Assist with chargebacks

6. Take client’s credit card payments

7. Record all payments to each matter’s invoices and activities tab

8. Review emails and take action according to each e-mail


Billing experience required.

Law firm or other professional office experience desired.

CLIO management software experience is a plus.
